October Jones & Fish with Legs is a labour-of-love audio drama series with a full voice cast, original music and sound design. It's a kid-friendly show exploring themes of friendship and growing up, that also touches on bigger ideas of race, colonialism and critical thought. O&F is the first series by an independent Canadian production team based in Montreal.

The creators, Dexter Lavery-Callender, Elisabeth Nyveen and Zoë Bujold, met through the Montreal theatre community and worked together on many live productions before diving into podcasts.

It all began in a remote cabin on a rainy night late in October of 2019 when Dexter (a.k.a. D.J. Lavender) and Zoë (a.k.a. Zoe, a.k.a. Zoé, a.k.a. Zoee,) had the idea to create a show together. As the project got more complicated, they decided to seek the help of Lizy (a.k.a. Elisabeth, a.k.a. Lisbeth a.k.a. E. Lizard-Beth), a friend and stage manager from several earlier theatre productions. But then one night… While they were working late in the lab, a storm broke out! Lighting struck them, knocking over a shelf of chemicals and transforming them all into… PODCASTERS!

AND THUS: The Credible Adventures of October and Fish was born (later changed to October Jones & Fish with Legs) and then magically a year after that they had a show on the internet.​​

Now, the team is on the case! Together, they battle valiantly against SEO optimization, minimum download requirements for ad sponsorship, and the second season (!), without losing sight of the important things (food) along the way~
